This is way too deep discharging. There's a risk of cell reversal (=damaging cells). Besides, almost every matcher recommend NOT to discharge the cells below 0,9 volt pr. cell.

You dont need a discharger, just drive the car till it slows down. But dont drive it untill the car crawls/stop.

A discharger have a cut off, so it's easier to control and it's more safe, meaning better performance and longer battery life.
