Default What kind of shock spring for TC car

Hi I know there's likely been someone touch on this subject I've a cheap touring car that I'm slowly upgrading as I have the money at this point it has yellow springs on both front and rear, from all that I've found this is a color coding for +/- medium gage springs or this is what I assume from seeing full sets.
I'm really not happy with the control of the shocks themselves though I'm sure I'd be better off getting rid of the entire shock and spring set up which I will be doing soon or hope to it seems sort of lose in turns I guess I need to run it more to really get a feel as I'm not sure if its the front or rear but seems more like the front side.
I've heard that white springs are a good combination on the front anyone have suggestions as to what you might use?
This is an on road car and maybe my problem isn't the shocks it reacts different on asphalt but even at that could use to be a bit tighter all around.
And as usual thanks in advance for any ideas you might have its an Exceed you might even advise I use a framing hammer and a good full swing LoL...

If you have money to spend I would look at Tamiya's TRF shocks for the car. I know when I was racing on road a couple years ago they were the ones to use.

Agreed.

Depending on the car, you can look at companies like Associated and Xray Corally etc and find their spring rate guide. The rates generally = a color code that most companies use across the board. I know that the AE Red are quite firm and allow little forgiveness. It really depends on the surfaces you use will determine how well the suspension is able to absorb bumps. I wouldn't buy different shocks per-say, rather tune existing suspension accordingly.

Hi guy's the car is not a $300.00 TC its an exceed champion EP 540 brushed motor etc, bought it as a fix it up modify project coupled with the fact that it cost less than $100.00,and these are a generic chassis with options that can be had by other companies that sell the same generic chassis with better aluminum upgrades and so on in my opinion I couldn't beat the price to upgrade options that I've found so far for a beginners RTR.
Another factor that might be playing a negative role in it performance so may also be the tires on it I may be well to do if I change the tires tires to a harder slick racing compound as well, the actual shock springs on it right now is yellow front and rear if this means anything I would believe that to be medium hardness as it seems to me that yellow in a set means medium.
