nice imagination, but only rookies or the inexperienced or bashers wanting their cars to look cool would do such a thing...

I race and I'm gonna try it. Seems like it would really protect the shocks. Unless the balloon acts like an airbag and effects the stiffness of the shock. I'll check it out this weekend.

Hate to get technical, but what size balloons? I am going to try this as my first "mod".

most 1/8 scale buggies/truggies have shock boots. dirt collects on the outside of the shock seal and grinds away at the shaft and this is what causes oil leakages. its cheap and works.........so whats so bad about this? i'm a racer on a budget and I run balloon shock boots.
