Werks Clutch help....

I am trying to find a clutch bell that will work with the Werks Adjustable 4-Shoe 1/8 Off Road Clutch System. I have bell on it that doesn't quite cover the shoes. I tried another bell and I had the same issue. I tried the 'big ol' Ofna bell and it covered the shoes but it was soo deep on the toothed part of the bell I had a 1/16" gap from the end of the bell and baring to the end of the shaft inside. (I have no idea how to deal with that)

I have this on a Werks B7...

Any suggestions? Did something get installed wrong to begin with that I am over looking?

Side question... The lower the tooth count on the bell the better the low end will be? The higher the tooth count on the bell the better the high end will be? <did I get that right?

Yes, thats right lower the tooth count on the CB, higher torque (better low end) and lower the speed will be. More teeth on CB, lower the torque and higher the speed will be.

Sounds like you need to learn how to space a CB out on the crankshaft. Ofna sells a kit of spacers and shims -

some clutch bells are deeper than others, and as Duster says you can shim them out if needed but sometimes you run out of shaft. If you can't find a werks cb, try a kyosho, they're not as deep as an OFNA.
