Default Futaba 3PK

I have had a few problems recently with my 3PK losing sync and the fail safe is not working. Just found out that my receiver is set to PCM and that there is no fail safe features with that mode. I just changed it to HRS and am now able to set the fail to close the carb if it loses sync. Tested it and it seems to work perfectly I am using a R603FS receiver. Is this the correct setting or should it be PPM?

You should on use HRS mode if you have digital servos. Otherwise you use PPM if they are not digital. You can still use the failsafe in PPM but you have to set it everytime you power up the reciever. It is easier to just use a throttle return spring.

dont u have to use the speckum hrs module though if u use hrs mode for the dingal servos ,i have the orignal gray module speckum with the dignal servos and use ppm and they seem pretty fast,i have my fail safe set with the ppm just set it to half throttle brake not full it will hurt your servo if something happens

I use the R603FS and I thought it was HRS compatible. I set the 3PK for HRS and everything seems fine.

Does anyone use the ABS feature on the 3PK. Just trying to figure out if it is worth setting up.
