I've tried a 3PK. Dont feel good to me. I've tried a Mars, but when I got my hand in it, it's so tight that it's hard to get off - it's way too small for my hands. So my KO Presto feels better. But a 3PDF, well, it's almost like I cant feel it, it's a very natural feel to me, it simply fits my hand very well.

Mop, I agree with you..user comfort and confidence should be the primary reason for choosing a radio.
Cole, the R1 is JRs top radio.

BIG R1
It's really not bad. The balance and the grip are very good as well. I have seen some drivers adding tennis racket tape to make it a bit thicker.
Haven't heard many complaints of the trigger's opening, although I have no problems with it, I would have imagined some would have. It seems a bit tight but felt good as I put the radio in my hand.
Like I said, the trigger control and position is perfect, especially when combined with the throttle curve and a user that has a tendency to "grip it and rip" when he gets excited [wonder who I could be talking about....LOL}.

Nor do I like the feel of the 3PK - so the R1 might not be for me. Anyway, if I should get a new radio to day, it would either be the Airtronics MX-3 due to value fr money. Or the Helios, but I havent held it yet, so I dont know if it suits me. I was really attracted by the Mars, until I held one - unfortunately it was too small for my hands
