Questions?? Digital servo's crackling noise

is it normal for digital servo to have a crackling noise?
doest it have a negative effect?

The crackling is perfectly normal with digital servos. It usually happens when there is a very slight load on the servo and it can't quite reach neutral perfectly to stop calling on the motor. There isn't any negative effect, but as a rule I wouldn't leave it loaded and crackling for minutes at a time.

i had wondered the same thing with my first digi servo and learned its common. this thread has a lil more info on it. see post #7

servo noise...normal?

yeah, thats fine, theres no need to remove the servo horn. it will make noise so just try not to think of it and forget it.
