Default newbie sorta

I'm not really a newbie but the sport has changed so much since I used to run that I really don't recognize very many name of manufactures parts/model numbers,I gave my rc10 stealth(first of the black pan cars) to my son a couple of weeks ago and he has been thrashing it around the yard and loves it but it is in pretty rough shape now and I have to find some parts to repair it for now, going to buy him a t4 for x-mas,not going to get into racing to much do to his other commitments during the summer months,he cooked the esc somehow the other day and broke the mounting brackets for the servo off so and the radio is pretty old so want to replace it as well, needs a motor also the old dirt oval has seen its better days found this site through a friend and been reading for days the site is full of great info keep up the good work

If he's just bashing in the yard just get him a Traxxas vehicle. A T4 is gonna kill you on parts and labour time.

For your own benifit take some time and look at the local hobby shops at the parts on some of these vehicles.....The T4 is a racer for someone with at least a little skill. Doesn;t make a good basher front a arms are thin !! along with other parts. I am sure there are other brands good for bashing but traxxas does make some stuff that WILL take a beating.

Best of Luck with what ever you choose.
