Help with Sand Tires
Ok...well, I'm thinking about traction in snow and on the beach. I went to tower hobbies website and low and behold I found many different brands.
I've never bought tires before. It appears that some come with foam and others do not. Is this correct?
Other than aesthetics, does it matter which wheels I purchase? As long as their 2.2" for a slash.
Does anyone have any information on how these tires are different (apart from price)?
Panther Paddle Firm Truck Tire
HPI Sand Thrower Tire D Compound 2.2"
Pro-Line Sand Paw 2.2 Truck Rear
Panther Razor Firm Truck Tire
HPI Sand Runner Tire D Compound 2.2"
It appears from the pictures that the Pro-line do not come with foam. Are all foams created equal?
Can someone direct me towards a DIY tire gluing instructions.

I had some of the Pro-Line Sand Paddle tires, prob one of the best times I ever had with a RC. The tire is harder than a typical off road tire so foam is not needed. I really doubt you would notice much difference with any of those tires. The harder compounds should last a little longer though. For a tire with foam you will not really notice any difference when bashing. Different foams can affect handling on a track, but usually what comes with a tire has been tested as the best for most applications. Give us some pics when you get them on, I love that look!

snow tires....
I did a search for pro-line and found this thread...

Ever heard of Pro-line sling shot? They're not on the proline site anymore. One of those posters made a good point about the paws digging into the snow. I live in Michigan, that made me think more about tire choice.

Wait for these new Slingshots from Proline:

2.2/3.0, same as stock Slash rims. I'm gonna use some Rulux wheels with them in the winter.

How embarrasing. As a tech guy, I should have been able to find that on their site.
From what you guys know about Pro-Line, how long will it be? It could snow here in MI any day now. Though, officially I'll have the cars by the end of next week, I might acutally wait to give them to my son the week of Christmas. Such self control.
I just found it odd that I couldn't find a sling shot on e-bay.
