Default Building a receiver/transmittor

Hi. i am currently at college and i am studying electronics. for my final project i am making my own r/c car. i need to build a receiver and transmittor. if anyone can give me any advice/guidance it would me a big help. also if anyone has any schematics of a receiver/transmitter as an example that would be brilliant!

Thanks

I don't think that they have the schematic diagram for the Tx/Rx. The transmitter that you are building running on what Band?
