Questions?? MT - 1/8 Truggy tires interchangeable?

Are Revo and 1/8 truggy tires interchangeable ? 1/8 truggy tires are more common in here.

No significant performance difference if I intend to race?

I don't know... but truggy tires have a 17mm nut which the wheel fits onto, so if the MT is the same way, then it should work!

The original Revo had 14mm hexes, and the wheels are a specific size. ProLine and others made dish wheels with 14mm hexes that take any Maxx size tire, such as Crimefighters, BowTies, etc. You can get adapters to convert the 14mm to 17mm and any truggy wheel/tire will fit it.

I stopped folowing the Revo specs, but I thought the later versions had larger hexes (on the Platinum Edition?) so maybe they are 17mm's?

I dont know if my wheels are 1/8th (Im pretty new to all this) but I put bigger wheels on my revo (due to one of them exsploding) got these they are pretty big and had 14mm hex they look cool but i find they are wearing my bearings and all my suspension joints out quicky due to the extra load they are receiving.
Hope this helps cheers Doug.

As long as your revo has 17mm hex, just double check and you should be fine. It depends on the tire you get for your revo, but no there is no significant difference. It would just be the tread and compound that would act different if you were racing or just bashing.

Hope you geared down too - those big, heavy wheels will put a big load on the drive train and clutch if you don't go to a smaller pinion or larger spur. You can ratio the difference in tire ODs to see what you need to re-gear.

So that means if I wanna change my wheels to larger ones, I need to change the pinion and spur? Could show me which one is the spur & pinion? I'm still a newbie here
