Default Quick question..Tamiya

Afternoon all.....I'm kinda new at this stuff and was looking for some help...
I recently purchased a Tamiya TNX 5.2R.....Brand new......Start off by saying..."WOW"..What a fast truck...and it handles like a dream....BUT....Here's my issues...I broke the truck in exactly as specified..and I mean to the tee...
After break in.....I decided to see what this bad boy had to offer..So off to the baseball diamond I went...Four tanks of Nitro later and it happened.....
Won't move....idles great,,runs fine,,,Clutch is gone..(So the hobby store tells me)...Ok...I guess it could happen...So I say fix it...Ever try to find TNX parts here in Canada,,,Good luck,,!!!....Two weeks and $70.00 US later form singapore..(Clutch bell,Clutch shoes,Taper colet,Flywheel and Counter shaft bag)....Now they said that all this stuff was melted..???..The truck is brand new..!!!..How did this happen..??..I'm a 30 year old guy who has automotive knowledge...are you kidding me..???...4 tanks of fuel later..??...Is there an issue with the TNX that I should know about..??..I'm scared to drive it agian in case it breaks....This thing has cost me a small fortune....Please help

I don't know the vehicle, but I do know Tamiya make quality gear. My pick is if it was a pre-assembled truck, something wasn't adjusted right.
My first stop woulf be contacting Tamiya in Canada and putting your issue to them. You definitely should not have had that happen so fast!
Make sure you keep the stuffed gear that came out of it.

Yes clutches wear out and if something was wrong it could happen that fast however I would be skeptical about ALL the parts you listed going bad Sounds like your hobby shop made a few extra bucks on the deal but that's my opinion.
