Default Tamiya TNX 5.2R

Hi all....I'm pretty new at all this high tech stuff and was curious...Is there a 3 piece clutch shoe set that will be a direct fit for the Tamiya TNX 5.2R,,??
Reason I ask is that this truck chews up clutch's like you wouldn't believe,,!!!..I'm already on 4 I think....
Is this a common issue with this truck..??
A part # and supplier would be great...(Canadian Guy..So a Canadian supplier would be fantastic...)
Thanks in advance to all who help...
Cheers

Now....Here in Canada this is a pretty pricey truck to buy...I'm told that it's alot cheaper truck to buy in the U.S.........Anyone know what they sold for brand new..??...Or what they sell for now..??
Our local hobby store has three left..(Brand new in original box)..and they sell here for $599.99 Canadian....I bought mine 2 years ago for $799.00 Canadian
Just curious what they are worth over there..new and used if anyone knows
Thanks
Jamie

you can buy it directly from Tamiya for $399 not sure if that includes the radio or not. not sure why your burning up clutches. You might want to check for binding, does it roll on it's own w/o any trouble? If there METAL shoes then yes they will wear out, if there plastic you shouldn't have that problem. Check in the manual for HOP UPS.

you could try www.etamiya.com or maybe E-bay.

Can't remember if its a 3 shoe clutch or 4. Try looking at the OFNA 1/8 scale shoes or more readily available HPI SAVAGE. I think it's your driving style but thats just me. I never had clutch problems yet but all my clutches look like plastic, not metal.

I had the orig TNX with the 18 mill that was made by OS for Tamiya. I waited a while after the initial marketing blitz and paid $299 for mine but felt it was worthless without the pillow ball upgrade which was another $99. I haven't kept up with these, but believe yours comes with the PB suspension.

Are you running stock tires? Usually, abnormal clutch wear is either due to too much weight thats overgeared or too much of an engine. If yours is stock, its prob just the engine. You can try upgrading to a 3 or 4 shoe clutch and play with shoe types - metal, carbon and teflon. You might take some strain of stock clutch by gearing down a little.
