Default Thunder AC6 Lipo charger? help

I've been out of the R/C hobbly for awhile.

I came across this: Thunder AC6 Lipo charger on a Heli site.

Is this overkill in terms of charging R/C car batteries?

I have a Novak Millenium stashed away somewhere.

Is it worth upgrading with all the new types of batteries they have available now?

BTW what kind of batteries do they offer now for R/C cars?

No its a great charger and you cant beat the price for all that charger can do.

Yes upgrade! Now there are lipo's, li-fe's, and nimh.
The most popular being Lipo. nimh is still used in spec classes like the losi slider.

li-fe's for rc cars and really new, there's only a couple companies manufacturing them.
