Default diff oil

nubie question how do i change the diff oil in my slash?

If your Slash is stock it has no diff oil....the diff has grease from the factory.Do a search I believe there is a how to change over from grease to oil in the Slash thread.

I remember reading about doing that, but good luck finding it. The thread I remember had some info about using orings or other mods to help seal the diff. This is not a sealed diff and thats what I want to see addressed.

I want to do that with my Slash and spent time searching last night. All I could find was comments that 120k works, but doesn't last more than 6 or 7 packs. Some body said use 300k, but there wasn't feedback on how well or even if that worked.

I use 50k and fill my diff. IMO it last way longer than 6-7 packs. I've got at least 4 months on mine and it's still pretty tight. If you use 120k or 300k you can put in less to get the same amount of diff. action and IMO 300k is going to take a LONG time to work it's way out
