Is there a certain kind to go with as far as the "silver solder"

Or, for about $10 more, you can go to a local electronics shop(but I DON'T mean Radio Shack) & get a roll of Kester 63/37 solder(it's as good as anything you'll find, it's what most professionals use, & it is what I use at work on sensor tools that cost as much as a full scale car), which is a full POUND of solder(that roll from Novak is just over half an ounce). Honestly, the kind of solder is not as important as proper soldering technique & the right iron, which is why stuff like Kester's is just fine(& in truth the others are no better), you do NOT need silver in it to get a good connection, as good connections come from the wire, NOT the solder(in fact, connections should be made with as little solder as possible, so the wire can do its job)....
