Default New 1/8 guy

Hello.
I am just getting into 1/8 offroad. There is a new rack here in town and I have been doing some scouting of the local talent.
I am 37 years old and used to be a kyosho team sponsored driver in the late 80's driving the ULTIMA.
Back then it was just the rc10 and Ultima and that was it.
After watching those 1/8 scale 4 wheel drive buggies I got the itch again after more than 20 years.
I just picked up a mugen mbx5 prospec from ebay
I was going to ante up and get the mbx6 but after alot of reading and studying about this car I felt pretty good about purchasing it.
I do know this.
It will be brushless. The few I've seen in person were pure insanity.
That's why I bought a roller car.
Any suggestions where to go in these forums to get the most info on this car and what I plan on doing to it?
Thanks and sorry for such a long first post..
BTW:I've been reading alot here for the last week and sorry I took soo long to register.Great forum.

that depends if you want to go electric or nitro. then just go to those threads. e 1/8 scale is looking to be the newest hottest thing out. also it seems to out perform the nitro cars. but it comes down to personal preference. just food for thought.

Hey gweed.
I've been poking all over the different forums.I don't see much of a following for mugen and was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for support here.
And yes,the 1/8 brushless cars are the rage.

Not Mugen specific, but a ton of info & experience, including just about every model, perhaps you have already seen:

Electric 1/8th Scale conversion kits.

Oh, and welcome back!
