For starters, you might take it apart and assess the damage. Maybe a battery fell off and shorted. You could get another GTB. Or you could feed a hundred South African kids with that money.

Ignoring stupid comments of others....

Something shorted out.. it's not too unheard of. I know it might take a great deal of time, but Novak has excellent customer service even if it isn't covered under warranty. They only charge around $55(US) to exchange a GTB in any condition for another.

If it was a factory malfunction shouldnt Novak replace it free of charge???

Charging anything for another ESC that might go up in smoke is kind of a joke dont ya think

HoaRC- you should feel ashamed of yourself... rcnovice is from South Africa... SO WHAT??? Im from Canada EH! you gonna be a dick just because someone says they are from a different area than you and you think it gives you the right to mock them??? and for the record... Hey Travis, its Matt; how you going? Sorry to hear about the speedy.

The ss is a common smoker. If have seen a local do two, each got one lap. I say send it back (contact them first) and see what they can do.

Oh and HaoRC you are a royal a$$ hole

They might even replace it, even if it was human error.
