Alright, thank you very much guys.

HoaRC,

Are those the prices from the official site? Or the cheapest prices?

For just the batt for a Slash or something like that, I wouldn't buy an Ice charger. I would buy something that doesn't use that rotary knob that seems to go whacko or quit sooner or later (yes, I have one and the knob is starting to go nuts).

Those numbers are Tower Hobby stock numbers(??) - prices are not "official" (MSRP?) and if you shop, prob can do better a little better, but your stuff will come from several places rather than just one, and Tower does have coupons and free shipping for orders over $99 thru 11/18. SO teh bottom line may look a little diff after coupons and free shipping are figured in.

Good place to find everything.

you said it best, duster. on another note, when your ice charger quacks up I'd like to be the first in line to have it.

New Question:

What are the differences between the sizes? Like is bigger better or other way around.

Thanks

I think one of the first things you should have told us is you price range, and your age... becuase they usually go hand in hand. If your in 30's and have a good paying job, you can afford a much nicer car, and equipment than someone who is 10-15 with and allowance.

I think the Slash is a good choice for a beginer. As for a charger (again depends on your budget) I would try to get something that can chrage a LiPo battery, and a NiMh battery.

Personally I don't really like Traxxas, but for the money and someone cutting their teeth in the hobby they are some of the best cars around. I've been in the hobby for over 15years, and I know what I want, and have a larger budget for nicer/more expensive cars.

So.... what's your budget.

idk, hes really confused and went from nitro to eletric on road to off road to speed runs to 12th scale and oval and drifting. so i guess his last stop was drifting because he liked the LEDs and the bodies.

Makes sense to me.

I would recomend a:

Tamiya TT01-D ( the D is for drift) my buddy has one lots of hop-ups cool car

HPI Sprint 2: Cool car lots of hop-ups

Losi Drift R: just a XXX-S re-named and a damn good car I should know I have 2 XXX-S G+

Tell him to keep us updated

Yeah I went with electric drift, thought I never said I was going with any sort of nitro.

I was looking into chasises , and I saw the TT-01 was popular. I never saw this other two though. I want a nice ready to run(RTR). And by price range doesn't really matter, because christmas plus I'm getting a job in Jan or Feb and I can wait, I'm good at that.

So yeah, whats the other two? are the ready to run and hop ups are upgrades, correct?

forget a tto1, people upgrade to the ta05 and say the tto1 sucks. ive liked the tc4 from team associated because at my track, many people use them and they dont look too confusing. also tamiya's ta05r. losi makes a xxx-s sport rtr II belt graphite car thats rtr i guess.
