Default Steering help

With my truck i replaced the steering servo. It had failed. When it came to steering it worked about five times round and round but then it slipped off the servo. Any ideas.

If you're talking about the servo arm that connect the servo and strg linkage, there is supposed to be a screw that connects the servo arm to the servo. That screw needs to be tight - lock washer and or medium loctite (blue).

If the screw loosens, the servo arm can move up and off the servo drive or the sevro arm can totally fall off if the screw comes completely out. Be sure and center the strg servo when you put it back together.

I'm not 100% sure what u mean but if you replaced the servo with a different brand you may have an incorrect servo horn on it. Also is it possible that the horn was stripped to begin with? You may want to check and make sure all the teeth inside are still there.

When you changed the servo - does the servo arm have a plastic piece that fits into the arm where the arm fits on the servo? This little piece may not be right for the new servo and if not, it strips in short order. There are different numbers of splines on the servo output shaft and you have to use the right one for your servo.

Depending on what servo saver or horn you might have left an insert from it on the old servo.
