I like truck over buggy 2 or 4 wd.
But that does mean i dont get to race 'cause there is only buggy racing here
Maybe with me running my truck at the club soon people will want to drive trucks aswell.
Wich classes are there where you will run?
i see 4wd is usually all mod/BL, sometimes 19T.

Racing can be a great way for you and your b/f to spend time together as well as help you build skills to be more competitive. If he is a fast competitive driver, hit the track on a practice night and watch him drive a few laps. Watch his line and how he drives the course. Then, break out your car/truck/buggy and follow him around the track and try to copy his line as best as possible. Start slow, perhaps 1/2 throttle. As you get more and more smooth, increase your pace.
As for being a girl, Go for it!
There are a small number of competitive females racing with the big boys. Most of them are overshaddowed by the big boys- Tebo, Drake, Easton, Hara etc.but they do compete. There are a couple of girls/women who race at my local track. Rhonda Skelton is one female who has gained well known status. Another girl who is/was fast at my track, Tiffany Dunlap, (now in so-cal & is dating one of the pro drivers) can be found kicking ass at different events as well.
Girls can be just as good as guys with practice and learning the skills to maintain a vehicle. If you aren't looking to get to hardcore, make it fun and have a good time. Look at it as time spent w/ the b/f and not falling into the stereotype of "just another girl."
