Default Artronics MX-3 handset with Novak XXL Receiver
I have an Artronics MX-3 75mhz handset and am thinking of buying a Novak 75mhz XXL Receiver. I have an Airtronics TX crystal so if I buy a Novak compatible RX crystal (JR or Futaba I think?) of the same channel would they work together?

You buy them by the set...RX and TX.
