Default Weird Sound

The last time I ran my RC18B, as I was finishing up, I started to hear a clicking sound when I went forward, and when I went in reverse...

Any Help would be appreciated.

might be your diffs going out. Make sure you didn't strip any gears in the diff.

thats the gears hidden behind the spur and pionion gear, you need to take the wheel off, lots of screws to see it.

place car infront of u

take off all the screws on the top deck that u can see except for shock towers....u can take those off if u want aswell but its not needed

the faded yellowy cremeish coloured gears are the diff gears, check if they are striped, if so buy some newies!

they run like 5-8 bucks each. I dont believe there are hop ups for this but as long as you put some greese it should be fine for a while.

i started getting this sound about a day or two ago, havent run the truck because its been raining. the LHS said its probably something in the transmission but you'd have to take it appart. unfortunately i dont really know all the names of parts and all that troubleshooting fun yet.

anyone have any idea's? just run it till it wont run?
oh yeah.. i've only had the revo 3.3 for not even 2 weeks
sure hope you can get better parts while fixing somethin like this.
it didnt even go off jumps higher than 5 feet, but maybe its something
i did? dunno, i'm confused on the issue alltogether

atebit, this is thread on the RC18 series but we will still help u out. You are talking about the revo right? Remove the screws that are holding the tranmission to the chassis, then take out the screws that go around the center of the tranny. Pull the two halves apart very slowly and gently making sure that none of the gears fall out. Look at all your gears and see if any of them have lost any teeth. Clean all the gears of debris and change the part. Then you can put it back together.

its a long shot but on the rc18, sometimes with certain packs the car can't draw enough power from them as they hit the last drop on the discharge curve (below 1.2 volts) so the car judders on and off and i suppose the motor could be clicking on and off. it happens on my minis... (both noobish though)
