Default belt driven vs shaft driven

hey guys, im looking at this rs4, but its belt driven. i know people say its better to have it shaft driven.. i understand about how the rocks and stuff can get in the belts.. is it worth it still to get one to start off with. and also can you switch the drivetrain to shaft if it is belt.. and about what would it cost for the swap..

Not so much dirt, but rather driveabilty. A shaft driven car will be have more aggressive accelaration than belt driven. Belt Driven seems to have a more smooth accelaration, but down fall is you have to replace the belts.
