hey guys, i really want a nice fast remote control car, but before i do that i want to ask a couple of questions.

1:8 is bigger than 1:10 (it mean that how many ratio is the car shrink from real car)

for the price of the car, it really boiled down on how competitive you want to be. pro car ususally start from 300 all the way to 450 t2'007 cyclone evo5. while entry level can start from as low as 90 tamiya tb01 etc* to 160 ta05, cyclone s or t2r 200 <all these are great car>
for electric or nitro its prefrence. i personaly like electric because its quite and cleaner. just go to the local track, they should be willingly to help you

Yes, electric is more quiet and cleaner. Nitro i more for people that like tuning their engines and that like the sound and realness of a real car. 1/8 is less common than 1/10 but there are many different sizes. 1/5 to 1/18.
For my first car i went gas and bought the Team Assoicater Nitro TC3 RTR Plus cus it is as car that u can really upgrade if you want to get into racing.

trust me...listen to the guys on here they took me from a noob and transformed me into what it says under my name now
i have a 1/10 Tamiya TT-01 chassis/electric...it was good for starters but i'm in the middle of some major upgrades
electric is quieter, easier on the pocket, easier to maintain as well...just my 2 cents
gas is for the hardcore guys...guys who race and dont bash

Question missed was "gas or electric"? 1/10 scale electric is good to start with. Eng_Tat listed good cars to start with if you are looking at onroad. For offroad I look at Associated or Losi trucks/cars. Trucks are easier to drive but slower than buggies.
Gas is probably for more advanced, because of it needing proper engine tuning.
As most guys mentioned, go to your local track or hobby shop. See what what car is popular as a entry level car and top of line cars. Budget your money wisely because you will need a charger, transmitter, a few battery packs. Also look into a tackle box. You will have to store some tools, small parts, and other stuff. It will grow from there. The guys at the track will steer you in the right direction, good luck.
