Hi,
My dad and i started an outdoor track in our back yard and trust me the are a lot of work. They are hard to keep the weeds off and depending on the weather you may have some troubles. Sorry i don't have any pics but what buggy or truck or whatever your making it for. Obviously, the size of the track should depend on what you will be running on it. Big truck= big jumps wide turns. Small truck=small jumps smaller turns.

Here's a link to a thread I started on building a backyard 1/18th scale Mini-T track. Much good info and photos of my track.

http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=108843

Hope this helps.

well il start off with how i built mine. first i sprayed grass killer everywhere it was it was a bunch of crabgrass so it was hard on the truck and not very much fun next i waited for the grass to die then once it died i took the weedeater to it to get down all the way to the dirt. then i just started building the jumps i use a bunch of old crap i found laying around and just started piling dirt on it and shaping the jumps and landing's remember a good rule of thumb is your landing shouls always be 2 times the size of your jump so if your jump took 6 wheel barrels your landing will prolly take 12. unless u want a hard landing to make or just dont care what happens to your truck or buggie its pretty much just all about imagination and hard work because it does take alot to build and maintain. oh ya and when u are done for the day cover your jumps and landings with a tarp itll help then from gettin washed down and from grass from growing back up . hope that helps a little bit ill try and get soempics of my jumps

i have a simple, "oval" track in my backyard. its very dusty, but has some dirt jumps in it. the thing to having a good, fun track is to have it be simple at first. one or 2 jumps at first, until you think 3 or 4 is good.
