Anyway, I purchased a KONAMI COMBAT DIGI-Q BATTLE SET VOLUME 2, and after less than a set of batteries the TIGER tank ceased to operate.

I have emailed KONAMI and they tried to help, but they told me to contact the place of purchase (RCMart) for any problems.

Trouble shooting revealed thet the Tank itself (TIGER) is dead, will not charge on either controller with fresh batteries, yet the other SHERMAN tank will charge on both controllers, and work on both controllers with it's corresponding ROM chip.

Please help,

For your "KONAMI COMBAT DIGI-Q BATTLE SET VOLUME 2",
it is out-of-stock for several months. When did you order from
us?? Can you give us your order ID ??

As this set was not sold good in HK, our local distributor stopped
importing them several months ago so rcMart couldn't continuse
to supply these items. We believe they might not able to provide
exchange.

According to your words, we suggest you to check

- Charging contacts on the "TIGER"
Did you try to clean the contacts? Bad contacts may affect the charging process.

- Check if the Battery inside the car works.
But, as you said, it works fine for a few charges, so the
possibility of that is low.

- The wires on the PCB.
The highest possibilites may be the wires on the PCB of the
car was broken after some crash. Try to check it carefully
to check if any wire is needed to be fixed. May be some
simple ironing job can fix it.


I'd a simular problem on my TOMY bit-charG two years ago.
It didn't work after a minor crash. I checked it & finally find
out the wire connected to the little motor was off. So, i just
fixed it in minute & it could run again..

I have tried cleaning the contacts in the tank, but nothing, i checked the pads too see the battery voltage and it measured 0v.

I am fairly competent with soldering (mini Z fet mods), but i don't know it it's a great idea to pull this thing apart, i'd rather exchange it or get it fixed before jeopardising my chances of getting a new one or further damaging it.

I've put a new order on RCMart (my fourth i think?) however something seem to have failed as the order status says "06. Cancel" but the payment was done in full through paypal.

I've sent in questions regarding my order both using the form on your homepage as well as a mail to the address mentioned earlier but have received no response. I'd hate to see $900 disappear into a binary void...
