Need help to remove propeller guards.

I just bought a mjx x800. now im having a hard time figuring out how to remove its propeller guards. any kind soul could help?

used this method but there seem to be something that grip and lock the guards making it impossible to pull out. if i were to pull it by force recklessly the whole thing would break.
