Default Quad help

I plan on buying a Quad soon and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the new Traxxas Aton. Also looking at the DJI Phantom 3. Insight appreciated.

I have Dji V1.1 converted to full fpv, you can read my build blog for more details here:
http://www.supermotoxl.com/FPV/UAV-m...nu-id-119.html
Had many great flights in urban and into the wild mountains.

Btw if you wanna get serious into multirotor find a products that have more nearby parts support and services availability eg: DJI products.

I started out on a blade nano qx and was a great way to get used to the controls ,I got the bnf since I have a spektrum DX6i which I use with a heli.
I recently picked up the traxxas alias and it is very nimble .
The alton should fly pretty much like the alias and am thinking about picking one up . If you've got a huge living room it can be flown indoors but really likes the great outdoors , the nano after indoor mastery ,cut your teeth outdoors and then you will be able to fly anything .
If you've never flown , definitely start out on something small and work your way up .
Real Flight 7.5 for the pc is a great way to hone your skills w/o the damage factor at all . they also just came out with a drones only version so you can go that route also
The alton looks to be a larger version of the alias . I really like the controller style of the traxxas which I didn't think I would {way to many video games} compared to the dxi which is huge compared to the traxxas controller but both pretty much fly both the same . Nice thing is every LHS has traxxas parts in stock

Can't beat the package deal of the Typhoon 4K. We also have the Typhoon H coming in a few weeks. I work for Yuneec. Check us out on the Yuneec website. I just started in Short Course and 2wd buggy here in SoCal. Been to practice days so far, going to hit the race scene this week! Wish me Luck!

Will the added flight modes be added into the Typhoon 4k?
With the 1 mile video link , the Geo fence is removed on the H ?
Can it be removed on the 4k or are you locked in ?
My property is bigger than a 300' circle

thanks

i am also new and i just picked up the walkera runner 250 advanced. flown a few times, a huge step up from my little hubsan h107c. which i used to get better at flying as i've never flown. Definitely get a quad with GPS if you're new. much smoother. i've looked at the traxxas one just because there will be local parts. and it has a air brake i think and a auto stop and hover setting which would be nice.

Im flying a Team BlackSheep Discovery Pro with a DJI NAZA V2, it is rock solid. it shoots great stable footage with no prop in shot issues.
