Blade 350 QX Upgrade questions
Hey everyone, been awhile since I posted anything here. I bought my son a 350 QX for Christmas and everything is great. He picked it up immediately and is flying in agility mode already. Did a couple of great GoPro videos too.
Anyways, I was doing some reading and it appears the stock props are known to fail and that the carbon fibre ones are better. I've found one by xtreme that's also a tri blade prop.
Are there any other upgrades we should be looking at or considering? We already bought a 3000 mah lipo which gave much better flight times.
I also read about some guys who have upgraded their GPS antennas with the QX3 setup.
How can I upgrade / check my firmware to see if I have the latest 2.0 firmware?
What's a good place to buy upgrades online?
Thanks in advance!

You've probably found answers to your questions, but just in case I found this link: http://www.rchelicopterfun.com/blade-350-QX.html
Sounds like carbon fiber props don't flex enough to absorb vibration (there's a link for upgraded props--apparently Blade's are not very good). I believe the GPS antenna was relocated to limit RF--it's not the prettiest solution but folks have been covering their cameras in aluminum foil which works just as well (you can also line the interior of the quad which looks better but involves taking out a lot of screws--like 32 of them).
Other than the battery and props, I'm not sure you really need to upgrade. I'm excited to mount a gopro on mine--no gimbal or FPV yet but I'm sure I'll get there.
Good luck.
