Hi everybody. I've got a Alpha 40 with an Evolution engine. The engine is a little hard to start and has gone through a couple of glow plugs since I bought it but the really frustrating part is that the engine quits in flight with about 1/3rd of the tank empty - consistently. Another flyer with more experience thinks the engine sounds like it is leaning out before it quits.
Fuel lines seem to be okay, no splits and clunk is positioned at the bottom of the tank. Muffler seems to be pressurizing the tank okay. Only observation I can ake is that the fuel level is about level with the carburator. I'm new at this so the last observation might be a red herring.
Anyone have any ideas why the engine quits and how to remedy the situation.
Thanks in advance
Stephen

Some of the evolution motors have an issue with the high end needle adjustment it does not stay in place and tends to rotate in flight witch is what causes it to stall out .We had a few of these do that at our flying field last year .
