Default E-Flite P-40 Warhawk

Hey guys thinking of picking this up as a first plane. Is this a good one to get? I want to get into bigger warbirds, i was thinking this may be a good first step.

If you haven't flown before, I would recommend starting off with high-wing trainers. The P-40 would be a bit too touchy for a first plane.

Go with a Hobby Zone Super Cub. You cant go wrong for the price and once you master it you can upgrade to a brushless motor and ailerons.

the eflite p 40 is not for a new flyer, not even a good choice for a second or third plane. It will fly fast and it is small, very hard to follow. Hands down best trainer to start with is an easystar.

as for warbirds stay away from the brushed parkzone's, they fly great they just dont have alot of power and you need to keep your airspeed up flying them. great for a park flyer as your second or third plane but the new brushless p-51 is a lot better.

Sorry for the late response. Thanks for the help. I gonna start looking for a trainer and see what the locals recommend.

It will depend on who you talk to, club guys and older gentlemen will say a .40 size ntro trainer, which is all well and good but the foam electrics make learning curve ALOT less steep and expensive.

Another vote for the super cub. Although not recommended you could probably teach yourself to fly with it. Very durable and everything is replaceable. Even better would probably be aerobird type plane.

Get the Parkzone Trojan...you won't regret it. Get the Bind and Fly version, buy a DX6i and you can get any of the other parkzone bind and flys down the road.

the multiplex mini mag is often over looked by new pilots. It's very durable and flys great. and the brushless power package + ailerons you would have a
hell of a plane. and about the p-40 save your self trouble and wait till you are
more expirence. But if really have your heart set on a warbird and you have someone to train you than take a look at hanger 9 PTS p-51 mustang.

Still been researching this. Thanks for all the suggestions. The hanger 9 looks awesome but i rather have electric. Less fuss and more places here to fly electrics.
