Default Modeltech motor burnt up need help picking replacement.

My modeltech Fledgling motor burnt out. I’m new to electric flying and was wonder which brushless motor should I buy?

I was also thinking of just replacing the motor. Right now I’m running an Electri-fly 35C ESC and Eflight 11.1v 2100 battery, is the motor a 500 or 600 brushed?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I guess you could just get a fledgling "gen2" motor. Brushless is standard for the gen2. Or you could really get any other 1000kv, 350/450-ish watt motor. You'll probably want to change out your prop to something in the 10x5e range with the gen2 motor, That's what's recommended for the gen2 anyway. You may or may not need a prop adapter, depends on whether your stock speed 600 has the same size shaft as whatever brushless motor you buy. Some brushless motors will come with an adapter included. You'll need a motor mount (which some motors will come with also) if you buy an outrunner, and you'll have to get a little creative in mounting the motor.
Hobbypeople carries them, among others. You'll want a 40 amp esc to go with it.

If I keep the 35c esc is there any particular model 350 watt motor (eflight, etc...) I should get for it?

What are the advantages between the in runner and out runner?

you wont be able to run your brushed esc with a brushless motor, as for the in out runner thing, geared inrunners work great for spinning large props slow but outruners can do it without a gearbox.

Outrunners means less parts to break and less noise.
