Hey! ...been away from the forum for a while, but yeah, I own a 6ex, and was wondering the same thing quite a while back. I spoke with a guy I know that worked for futaba back then and was told they had no plans for marketing a module for the 6ex, because the cost of conversion would be about the same as buying a new 2.4 fasst 6ex, and they didn't figure a whole lot of people would spend the money to convert an entry level radio, etc, etc.
At some point I came across someone that was making a 2.4 conversion for the 6ex but it was a kinda "home brew, out in the garage" deal, as i recall it was a bit pricey, and I haven't seen that guys web site for a while.
There is a conversion I've seen done with the Assan 2.4 modules, but it gets a bit involved, and any warranty you may have is of course voided in all respects. Just google search "Assan module hack" and click on the first entry. There's a lot of info about it there. I think it eventually covers just about every radio known to man.
Really, the ppm/pcm version of the 6ex isn't bad though.
