My MCX stopped going forward and in reverse. The motor on the right for the swash plate is not engaging. If I move the gear a little with my finger it works for a few seconds then stops again. Any ideas?

are you by any chance using the stock transmitter of the RTF version...? i know that the servos are very sensitive to end points and they are very easy to strip if activated beyond the stops... i don't think the stock RTF transmitter has a proper way of adjusting for end points...

I'm having a problem along similar lines. Rudder control is crap. I think the main rotor motors are shot. Or at least one is. Even with the rudder trim cranked all the way to the right, it spins left; slowly but steady. Enough that I have to give it full throttle to keep it airborne.
I haven't researched it myself, but the kid at the LHS said the motors in some go bad rather quickly. Or the 5-in-1 goes bad. Anybody know anything regarding that?

I had a similar problem but not as bad. It was a bad/worn out motor. The one powering the top set of blades

I flew my 1st one a lot - I bought 2 extra batts and flew them back to back at least 2 or 3 times a day for about a month. It now makes a loud whirring noise and wanders badly when in the air. Trim seems to have no impact. Same type prob.
I don't know what to replace or even if its worth it. It def was a lot of fun, reason I bought another bnf!

I actually managed to somehow bend the shaft for the lower blades; the outer black shaft, no the inner shaft. Although I did replace both just to be sure. You'd know if the outter shaft was bent because the heli shimmies like crazy. If you hang on to it and give it throttle, you can feel it vibrate.

I'm having problems with my mcx now too. I have flown it quite a bit though. I would estimate it has 50-60 hours flight time. It started wandering all over the place and having trouble staying in the air. Trimming it helped briefly, then it does not have enough power to stay in the air after about 90 seconds. If I let it sit for a minute, it will fly good again for a couple minutes, then same thing. It seemed the battery was toast so I got a new one and still the same problem. I'm having the same dillema on replacing motors & 5 in 1, or just assume the whole thing is worn out enough to buy a new BNF kit, and use the old one for parts. It has been so much fun, I would not hesitate to buy another one. I just assumed eflite would have made it to last a little longer?? My CX2 still works.

Mine doesn't vibrate, just makes noise. I have noticed lower blade spools down a lot quicker than upper and thats a change - my BNF they both stop close together. I guess I have something binding in the lower system. I would like to get my orig back to flying again.
Anyone doing major work on theirs, def let us know if it helped.

My lower blade also spools down quicker than the upper blade. I figured that was normal (guess not). A buddy just got both a CX2 and an mCX. He says that the CX2 manual mentions that if you don't immediately throttle down when you crash, there is a good chance you'll screw up the onboard electronics. Now I'm all worried that the 5-in-1 is kaput.
I'm gonna slap a voltmeter on the motor outputs and see if there's a voltage difference between the two. By my logic, if they're different voltages at a given throttle position, then the board is FUBAR. If they're the same, then one of my motors is shot.
