nice!
Nice heli t9dragon!
Go with the coaxial design heli for your first venture.
But stick with the hobby grades, skip radioshack.
Both the helimax axe, and the blade cx/2 are good bets.
Unless you can get to a flying field with a good trainer, it's nearly impossible to teach yourself proper flying techniques on a fixed pitch, let alone something with a bell hiller head (adjustable pitch).
Co-Aixial's are a lot of fun to learn, and if you keep inventing different games to play with them, it's very hard to lose intrest.
I love the idea somebody just put out on ebay. A grappling hook!
If you insist on a micro-heli. google Rad's flight school.
If all else fails, remember one thing about heli's..... Fight the urge to let off the throttle when you are in trouble. Give it air and climb out of the bad situation. You will break less parts!

hey buddy,
i just went through the same thing. I bought a blade cp cheap off of ebay, thought i could teach myself. Well 2 months later and after enough parts to build 2 complete choppers(plus a good deal on a big parts lot off ebay),i traded/sold both of those and landed a pair of cx2's. Big difference.
With in 24 hours i was hovering the thing and i havent even tweaked it yet.
Im about to get some aluminum upgrades to make it a little more pricise. I
definantly recommend a cx or cx2 as a first beginner as i am doing the same thing(again) and loving it. Cant wait for some more practice and a real chopper.
ps...i love that chassis and boom setup,i have the complete kit in black,as soon as i get some new blades and paint the canopy, ill get pix up.

Ooops, late reply though!
I think beginner as I am, should stick to 4 channel co-axial heli, any type. They are extremely easy to fly.
I already wasting time and money to 2 type of fixed pitch (FP) heli/micro heli, but they are difficult to learn except you have some senior flyer at your side.
Mine is TWF/Esky "Apache".
Below is seen with upgraded extreme blade (which is more rigid and light weight than the original).
Hover flight at home, ceiling high level.
