Default RC boat to take on boat?

Hello gents...

I work on bigger boats and am thinking about getting a RC boat to take along on trips, since my 4 wheel RC's don't do much good on the water 😝. May end up getting a couple, for multiple users.
Do you guys have any good recommendations for a good all round RC boat? I'm thinking like a Slash on water. Would mainly be used in saltwater, but in marinas, off of the back deck. Also, I would prefer ready to run.

Thanks in advance for any discussion/advice!

This might be good for you, a little larger so if the water is a little ruff.

Saltwater can wreak havoc on screws and electronics. Seal it up good and then seal it some more. You'll need to clean and rinse really well after use. Rust and corrosion are your biggest problems.

Man if your looking at getting a couple I would not look in the 50 inch range. They are a stable length but take up allot or restate in your trailer or trunk. I would look around a 30" V haul. My first 27" was a Aquacraft sv27 I would not recommend that boat because of the numerous problems i had with it. Despite the problems it still turned out to be a nice boat good size with modifications.

X2 on the salt water leak test and hatch tape will be your friend to keep it running.

Since fast electric boats turned out to not be my thing, I'm making my beer cooler into an RC boat for when I'm at the lake.

Will post a video when it's done. Right now it's still in build phase.

Im not knocking the sv-27 it was a great boat. The only problems i had was sealing the haul. It failed the bath tub test right out of the box. At that point I added a bunch of aftermarket turn fins and water pickups and internal water jackets. I was filling holes and drilling holes in the haul and i think i just could not get it to seal properly.
