Call the Traxxas hotline, they'll more than likely have you send the motor in. A friend of mine had that happen with a Slash VXL motor, he called expecting them to send him a new rotor, they had him mail the motor in, he received a brand new motor from Traxxas a few days later free of charge.

Honestly the rotor is like almost $40 alone. I had a used motor vxl 3500 debond and I was checking. I ended up using blue threadlock and it's still running to this day.
