Questions?? Traxxas Spartan cooling mods

My Traxxxas spartan over heats bad and causes a shorter life to my batteries.
I have tried 1 mod with the water splitter it works but worse that stock set up. So i'm now ordering a double pick up rudder and a new prop/prop nut. question is, the double pick up rudder is it enough? or do I need a new Cooling jacket for my stock motor?

Other Question will lower motor temps increase runtime and battery life?

I new cooling jacket would help, they are not much money. How long are you running the boat? It should be ran 5 mins top per run. Boats suck a lot of amps from batteries and they discharge and heat up fast.

Another good Mod it to get a new rudder that has Dual Pickups. that way your motor and esc get fresh water

The problem is that you're running NiMH. For a boat that size, you should really look into using a LIPO. I ran NiMH on my Impulse for a while but the drag would drain them incredibly fast.
