Default New hull build 1.8 scale hydroplane

Hi,

just finishing the stickering after the hulll was painted. I now have to do a clearcoating over the stickers to seal it from the nitro. The hull is made from fiberglass and carbon. Power will be Picco .67R Bluehead with a CMB pipe running on 30%nitro. In the coming winter I will finish the boat so it will have its maidenvoyage in April. Next project will be a small 1/16 scale Unlimited light hydro for 400 size brushless motor with 7.4V lipo's.

You still can't see it? You've got a browser problem! Install Firefox if you don't use it yet. Click on the links
There are several models made of the real U5 Formulaboats hydroplane. Only Proboat makes them on a commercial level. The ones we race are powered by .67 engines and are build by ourselves or by other builders but we all use Newton plans as a start.

Yes, I made it from Newton Plans. Why does it look funky?

These pics were made before the clearcoating. Here is it after the clearcoating with the window installed.
After this picture was taken I installed most of the hardware and I am working on the engine to fit in.

Sorry bud but your links do not work.

Formulaboats.com goes to a REAL BOAT website that has nothing to do with RC that I can see.

I would love more information.
