Default I need a little help......

I have a shockwave 26, I recently installed a duratrax 8t esc and a 13x2
checkpoint set up to upgrade from stock. My problem is that the boat hesitates, goes a little bit then stops?? When I take it out of the water it runs just fine with no hesitation??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Also can anybody tell me what to upgrade my prop to with this set up and the stock set up just incase I have to reinstall it.

Thanks

Ok, first some questions:
1 What kind of batteries are you using (nimh or lipo) and number of cells.
2 What system drive are you using?
3 Are you using a seperate batterypack for the electronics?
4 What prop are you using now and does it have a dogdrive?

At the time I was using Lipo's but I'll probably go back to nimh's. The lipos are my race pack I dont want to get them wet......

I'm not using a seperate battery pack for the electronics.

Also I'm not sure on what system drive I'm using and I'm not sure what a dog drive is. Sorry I'm not to familiar with boats, at least not yet

The prop is the stock prop, everything on the boat is stock minus the esc and motor.

Thanks

Not so true. There are enough boaters using the DX3 for racing. For the motor mentioned I wont use more than 7 cells with a 32 prop (as a start, later you can go bigger!) I think the problem in the water is your motor, it could be that your brushes are bouncing on the communicator through the bouncing of the hull on the water.

I'm going to try a different motor for sure.
So I should be OK using spektrum in a boat............

You could also try stiffer springs and take a look if the brushes didn't wear out. If so replace them with new ones.
