Default HobbyWing V3.1 & Fantom Motor (No Boost / Timing)

I have a couple month old Hobbywign V3.1 (120amp) and 9.5T Fantom Motor in a B5m racing on carpet and high traction clay. Yesterday i noticed i have a little lag in power off the line and the boost and timing advance is not working.

I hooked it up to my LCD Hobbywing Program box and tried adjusting the boost and turbo from a slight delay to instant to see if I could get the turbo / boost to work. Nothing seemed to help in changing the settings.

I have a XR10 Pro (160amp) Hobbywing and 8.5T Motor in my SC5m and this one works fine with both turbo and boost sittings.

Any thoughts / help would be greatly appreciated.

first thing i'd try is a new sensor wire. it sounds like the motor is running in sensorless mode, so either the sensor wire or the sensor board in the motor perhaps.

Okay, I'll try my other sensor wire from my other motor. Anything else to try or check? If its the sensor board in the motor how are is that to fix? Is it best to just send the motor back to the manufacturer? (Its a Fantom Motor)

It's in a blue colored case and says FR-1 on the case. I don't think it's the version 2 motor.

Have you updated the firmware in the ESC? Also, make sure you are using firmware that allows you to add boost and turbo timing.

Thanks for the help. The sensor wire was loose on the back of the esc. All is good now. Just couldn't tell it was loose because i did to good of a job hiding and covering the wires lol.

Haha! Figured it was the sensor wire. I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago but it had worked it's way out of the motor.
