Default Orion Vortex R10 Stock BEC only 5.75V?

The Orion Vortex R10 Stock ESC manual says it's built-in BEC is "5.75V linear". This is lower than the common 6V other ESCs have. I'm concerned about giving my servo less than 6V.

I wonder why they say "linear". Does this make up for the missing 0.25V?

I must start off by saying I've never checked my ESC for BEC voltage. But you might remember, back in the day they ran off a 4.8 v batt. pack. Also, I think that the 6.0 v numbers might be rounded numbers. I call it slang. Used for ease of description. The word 'linear" probably just means stable. I'm going out to check my BEC voltage.

Linear refers to the circuit design for the voltage regulation (control). Compared to a switch mode or switching type design that some now offer. Won't make up for a lower voltage. Many built in BECs are in that voltage range thou.

Checked my BEC voltage. I got just under 5 v BEC. My equipment is very old and outdated. My equipment doesn't even compare. That's okay though. I'll be ordering new stuff soon. I'm glad we got an opportunity to talk. I found that my batts. are not charging completely. Probably to much IR, cheap and abused batts. I need to replace everything soon.
