Default New Spektrum dx4s on flux killed servo....

Just bought a dx4s and SRS4210 receiver for my Savage flux hp and now after binding I think my servo is done. What will cause this and how can I stop it from happening again?

The servo has a burnt electronic smell and is very difficult to move manually.

Sounds like it's cooked however I don't think the radio system alone could cause that. Not sure if you can plug up a servo backwards and cause any damage but it can't hurt to look. Did the truck run at all after you made the change of radio or did it happen as soon as you plugged it up?

Throttle works but the servo fried immediately after the bind process. Everything worked perfectly fine with the old radio and receiver.

If the frame of the radio was set too high, it would cause analog servos to fry pretty quickly.

Yeah, you have to use digital servo's on those especially when running AVS.

Honestly speaking though, that receiver is such a piece of junk imho. I hated mine because it would loose bind all the time, tossed it and replaced with SR410's and SR210's. Never looked back.
