Either way nobody that is a halfway serious racer will use one of these.

Someone posted a similar deal for airplane use recently, and if I remember correctly predicted it would come to cars. Nailed it.
Not so great for those who switch motor winds depending. Also not sure if it fits into a class, aren't many of the popular 4 poles larger than 540 sized?
But I'm sure there is some market and that's fine. Racing, eh. Is it unfair to point out there is a market for RCs with a one board steering, ESC, and Rx too?

I don't know what market need this product fills. For bashing, you can go cheaper than $100 and arrive at similar or better quality with products out there. Is it waterproof? If so, then maybe the lack of hassle and basher-readiness will appeal to some.
This is obviously not going to appeal to many racers as others has noted. If a racer wants to save wiring, I guess that airtronics combined esc receiver works if you have the proper radio.

Just think how far that thing would stick out the side of say a touring car causing massive L/R balance issues. I can't really imagine a scenario where this setup would benefit?? Personally I hate all in one solutions - they aren't cost effective anyway you look at it. It'll always fail in only one part of it rendering the rest useless. I can't see this being very popular.

The idea is not new, many brushed airplane motors can be found with an attached ESC

I think the first place I could us it would be in a scale crawler, then maybe a tank or scale boat.
I would like to see a link to the plane motor.

Just have to decide where to hide the ESC, in the motor or receiver.

If you mean the one I mentioned, post #11 by nexxus in this thread:

Some time I plane on doing a scale 1/10 NASCAR or dessert truck out of S&K brass tubing, that I think would be cool. I know hiding esc under dash will help conceal it, but if its on the motor... bing !

That would be cool. Pan car I assume for Nascar? Hopefully length wouldn't be a problem fitting it in. (I only have older 1/12 stuff for reference, which are fairly snug fitting)
