Default Shopping for a LIPO Charger

Im going to be in need of a good charger for lipo batteries here shortly..

Years ago i was hooked on Hyperion stuff...
But whats out there today? Whats the best bang for the buck?

I want something capable of atleast 10S.. I wont be running that at the moment, but just incase... Ya know.
Also wanting something that is AC/DC

I was looking at the following chargers..

Hyperion 615i Duo
Hyperion 720i
Venom Pro Plus
Duratrax Onyx 220
FMA CellPro 10S

What is more important to you; 10S high power capability or AC/DC convenience? You aren't going to get both in one charger since AC/DC chargers pretty much max out around 100 watts. Chargers needed for high amp charge rates (20+ amps) or high cell counts are going to require a power supply.

The Hyperion 720i you listed probably comes closest to what you are looking for but that maxes out at 90 watts on AC power. Definitely not a future-proof charger but would meet the needs for someone running mostly 2S packs with the occasional 3S and 4S thrown in.

Clarification please, are you looking for a charger that does 10S, 10 cells in series, a 37 Volt nominal pack? Or a 10 Amp charge capability say on more typical 2S to 4S car packs, etc?

Knowing what packs you plan on having is the first step in helping determine good choices.
