Default Steering power loss and freezing.

Hey everyone,

I just got back into the hobby and I'm having trouble with my new B5.
I had some steering issues on my last day.
At home I have noticed that if I go full side to side steering quickly it is fine but if I slowly turn or not fully turn side to side it either freezes and doesn't re centre or doesn't go full turning radius.

ESC is a Toro TS120 COMP, SERVO is a Protek 100SS and the radio is the MT4s.

I think this may have started since I got the new radio with receiver(RX 472).

I suspect you need to change the servo mode on the transmitter. It's frame rate is too high for the servo to operate correctly. I suspect it's set to SSR. Try SHR. If that doesn't work you'll need to go down to NOR.

update if I turn my esc off then on when the servo stops working the servo starts working fine again. Which makes me think esc especially considering the power button on the esc doesn't always work when I try to turn it off.

up date I took my esc apart and it was FULL of dirt.
that probably explains why the power button has to be pushed so hard to turn on.

To change the servo mode, go to the system menu, then BIND. RF Mode is probably FH4T and what does it list under ST (steering)?

I don't have this radio, so I'm just reading the manual. The manual says the default is NOR (normal) which shouldn't cause these problems.

Only reason I suspect this is because I had a similar problem with my Futaba radio.

Ya,

I think I'm going to just replace the esc.
