MKS Servo
Hey guys i was wanting your opinion on a servo really quick. I was going to put it in a 1/8 e buggy for steering and didn't know if anyone had an experience with it. MKS HV1230 Titanium Gear High Torque Standard Digital Servo . I think it looks cool and has good specs for the price. I couldn't find a review on it for crap though

It may be a great servo, I have no idea really. But spec wise it isn't anything special IMO, lots of options for that price with similar specs. I run Radiopost Signature series in my 1/8 stuff and love them, a little more money but can get them on sale for around 120.00 and they are awesome! If you buy the one your looking at let us know what you think after using it, not much info on them. GL

Anyone run MKS HBL575 X6 low pro servo?
SO I have an XRAY XB2 and XB4. I've had terrible luck with servos, mainly Spektrum and Futaba.
So for my XB4 I spent $180 and got the Hitec 9360, in which it is amazing. It is incredibly fast, has lots of torque, brushless motor, unique gear materials with titanium as well. It performs extremely well and has held up great so far. Only problem (for the XB2) is, is that it's a little larger as far as depth goes, it's the same or larger from mounting ears, to output gear as the Savox 1258tg.
So I had to find a unit that I could use in my XB2 that was similarly durable and performance wise as the Hitec 9360. The only low pro servo I found with similar specs was the MKS X6 HBL575 low pro servo. It has a lot of torque for a low pro, it is extremely fast .06 sec at 7.4v, and it's brushless with full metal/titanium gears.
Does anyone have any real world experience with the MKS? Will it perform and be durable as my Hitec 9360 is? I'm excited to put it to use, it should be delivered tomorrow.

Someone much more knowledgable than me will answer this better, but I believe MKS are the same as the protek servos, and are made by Highest. I believe Reedys are the same.

I have two of these servos installed in a AJ Laser 73" rc plane used for ailerons. I realy like them. Smooth, strong, fast. I wouldn't hesitate using them in your car. Hope this helps.

I would love to run the Hitec, but it just doesnt make sense as it doesn't fit very well, even though I could get it to work, but the steering link would not be totally parallel. Plus the added weight up front, wont be a good thing when running the XB2 CE on clay.

MKS is an OEM servo manufacturer located in Taiwan. Highest is also an OEM but located in Korea.
I fly gliders competitively and MKS came on the scene about 8 years ago when they introduced a very high quality aluminum case, BB servo. They are getting popular in all forms of RC airplanes and helicopters. For good reason, they are making a good product.
There are lots of knock-offs now that are made in China, KST, Turnigy, Bluebird. So far MKS seems to be doing very well in their servo development. It wouldn't surprise me if the car servos are excellent.

Yep - another glider guider here and 2nd the previous post. Have flown for years with the US Distributor ( Thomas Cooke ) and he has been promoting the car line of servos. They have mostly been going into the nitro and 1/5th scale cars, but are starting to get more popular in 1/10th scale sizes.
I think you'll like the servo, probably a bit pricey, but definitely high end gear.

And yes, that's the one. Except Amainhobbies has the specs wrong. i thought it was going to do .08 sec at 6v. Does anyone know if .10 should be fast enough for 2wd buggy racing? All my servos have been under .1. Also, how many ran 7.4v over 6v? I have a Tekin RSX ESC.
