LRP flow team works issues
I bought a new LRP flow works team esc and a Dynamic 10 4700kv motor with a savox 1258 tg servo.
The truck is a durango 410r, even though it's really not pertinent.
I run a futaba radio with a HV receiver. The problem is the truck keeps browning out and almost slowly driving itself for a few seconds once I've lost control of it.
I attached not one but two glitch busters in the receiver and it really didn't seem to help.
My next step was to try an external BEC.(castle creations 10A). I installed it and went to run it and it seems to work fine when I slowly pull the trigger back the truck will go to full speed, but when I punch it the motor just seems to cog really bad and it barely moves?
Bad ESC or motor? Hard to believe with a proper external bec it would still not be right.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I tried both of those. No change

Not sure why you think a BEC should fix it when a capacitor really didnt do anything.
In any case, its a process of elimination IMO. Since the electronics are new, I would start with the receiver and see if that changes anything. Even a different Tx if you can come up with one.
Then maybe swap a motor, a ESC and a servo to see if you can find the culprit.
Does the brownout happen right away when you start driving or after a few minutes? Can it be done on a stand?

When I see the words "brown out" and "Savox" in the same post, regardless of whatever else has already been tried, a different, non-Savox servo is what I'd start looking to try next even if you've already gone overkill with a whole external BEC.
That being said, cogging off a hard punch of the throttle, especially in a 4wd SC, is often a symptom the battery itself just not being able to provide enough power for that much motor. Brand, age, spec of your lipos?

Yeah I tried a different servo, I know its not the motor. Its got like one 3 minute run on it
I tried all I could think of before I want to pack it up and send it out for a month of down time in the middle of my race season.
Ill probably just ditch LRP and go with a tekin setup.
Ill keep the fixed esc for a backup
Thanks

Same problem here, running same electronics (flow works, dynamic 10l 4.7, savox 1258tg) on an associated sc10 4x4 and after 1-2 min it starts with the same sympthoms...
Did you find any solution? Changing servo did help?
I'm running hobbyking nanotech ultimate 6.4 90c batteries
Thank you!

Yes, did one battery without cutoff. I've sent a mail to lrp explaining issue, waiting for an answer.
Thank you!

Result was the same, i've resoldered wires, shortened battery ones, changed sensor wire and it remains the same. No error on the speedo.
LRP answered my e-mail and said that an additional condensor could fix the problem and that i should try with another servo...
Is somebody running flow works and dynamic 10l with no problems?
Thank you!

Changed servo, still not working.

What kind of battery are you using? In my losi scte, i had a battery that the voltage would drop to 5.9 to 6.4 then build back to 7.4. Junk battery would run forever but no punch

Seems like I found what was happening... but haven't solved it yet...
I tried with an other lrp flow works that I had installed on my pro10,
after installing it on the sc10 4x4 I was able to pull trigger for 2-3 times and after it started with the same brownouts as before.
This time I could see that the capacitor leg gets broken/dessoldered
I've went to the shop and bought some more capacitors 25-35-50v / 2200-3300 microf.
Installed one of them on the speedo and same as before, after 2-3 times pullling trigger, capacitor gets dessoldered.
Soldered a new one and set the throttle EPA to 60%, could pull the trigger 7-8 times and gets dessoldered.
IS LRP FLOW WORKS ENOUGH FOR DYNAMIC 10L??????
