Default Airtronics rx 461

My son has a receiver in which the antena is broke about 3" away from the case. We primarily race indoors. Can I repair it ( I don't believe you can solder these antenas) or just try it and see if it gets enough signal?

You should still be able to use it. Carefully strip back the black outer insulator and any of the metal braid (shield) to leave a 3.125cm length of the centre conductor wire. That should be a 1/4wave at 2.4Ghz
